Rice Cracker Cake

Kao Tuu Rice Cracker Cake by Patchmon's Thai Dessert, Toronto, Ontraio, Canada
ข้าวตู

(Kao-Tuu)

The local Thai intelligence (folk wisdom) stands behind the production of this Thai dessert. Originally in Ancient times, Thai folks recycled the (untouched) leftover jasmine rice from daily meals of Thai people. The rice is steamed, sun-dried, and pan-fried to create a crispy texture. Its taste and smell are assisted by the sweet aroma of coconut, creating a savoury AND smart combination. So if you like both recycling and eating desserts, this may just be the right dessert for you.
